SARA MARLOWE HALL                PAINTINGS

Sara Marlowe Hall (b. 1991) is a Los Angeles based multimedia artist. Hall studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, Germany and received a BA Honors Degree in Drawing from the Camberwell College of Arts, London, United Kingdom. She has exhibited work in Los Angeles, London, Shanghai, Portugal, Leipzig, San Francisco, Abu Dhabi and Menorca. Hall has been invited to multiple residencies around the world and draws inspiration from each landscape informing her work.

Her project with her husband Matthew Zuk 'Lovers Talk' is a collaboration where they can come together and converse through the Artist practice. The paintings that she makes for 'Lovers Talk'  are informed  by how Zuk would respond through sound and how a painting can be heard through his eyes and ears. How does color sound? how can a song feel through texture?  how can movement relate to one another? This sensitive and sensual project allows them to be in tune with another and have fun pushing the limits and exploring new techniques with one another.  Each collection of paintings are matched to a song having a direct link to one another, through their use of same titles and direct influence.
